Carmen pedrero is a Spanish filmmaker living in Boston, MA. Youngest of three siblings, Carmen started using a video camera when the camera was heavier than her. She makes fiction films drawn from her own experiences. After completing her Film Directing studies at Madrid's ECAM, Carmen pursued two masters. MASTER.LAV, where she became a 16mm nerd. And Emerson College's MFA in Film and Media Art. Her work has been featured in international film festivals and residencies, including Cannes’ Focus Script Lab, and Karlovy Vary’s Future Frames. Her latest short film, La Idea de una Isla, is a European Film Awards candidate. Carmen is also a published poet, an actor coach and an ice cream lover.
